The worlds love of America with Bush leaving office – Yea Right

November 20, 2008

IDB Editorial

…………….
Al-Qaida’s No. 2, Ayman al-Zawahri, appeared on terrorist Web sites Wednesday calling President-elect Obama, along with former and current Secretaries of State Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice, “house slaves” who are aligned with Islam’s “enemies.”
…………..
“America has put on a new face,” Osama bin Laden’s top deputy said, “but its heart full of hate, mind drowning in greed, and spirit which spreads evil, murder, repression and despotism, continue the same as always.”

Our message to Obama is this: If our foes hate a strong America, just think how much more they will hate a weak one.
……….
Weakness abroad will never lead to strength at home.

My hope is that the “America is the root of all evil” people that are in America will open their eyes.

George W Bush, The 1st American Socialist President

November 20, 2008

I wanted to believe Bush was a conservative even though in my heart I always knew he was not. He may be a social conservative but he is a big government liberal on fiscal policies. His domestic policy of bigger government, government intervention and more regulation goes against all the basics of the Conservative GOP. I did not think he was a fiscal conservative in 2000 and he has proved me right. Never again will I vote for the lesser of two evils.

I give him credit for putting a team of people in place that has prevented a terrorist attack on American Soil in the last 7 years. It may be hard work or a lot of dumb luck, we will never know for sure. The tax cuts of 2001 and 2003 help grow the GDP of America and the world. He is politically tone deaf, tries to please everyone all the time so nobody is ever happy.

The Bush administration is going to allow the IMF to oversee the American financial markets as part of the G20 summit agreement this past weekend.

Dick Morris
has a column on this.

A Washington post article on what was agreed to during the summit

…………….A five-page document of principles calls for intensified government efforts at bolstering national economies, cooperation on international regulation of the financial system, reform of global structures to aide needy developing countries and a refusal of protectionism, the official said.
In an effort to avoid surprise calamities like the one now sweeping the globe, finance ministers will be asked for specific recommendations to review and align global accounting rules and improve the governance of the International Accounting Standards Board, the official said. That would included more effective accounting rules governing how companies value their assets , a weakness seen as partly responsible for the current financial crisis.
“We pledge…. to ensure that all financial markets, products and participants are regulated or subject to oversight,” the draft document says, according to the official. …………

The Washington post has an article on what France and Tony Blair want to accomplish at a Paris Jan summit.

Blair was quoted in the French presidency’s statement as saying the conference comes at a moment “when we are trying to define a new model of capitalism and reflect on the values that will help us adapt to globalization.” ………………………….
Sarkozy and Blair had pushed U.S. President George W. Bush to host the Washington summit and had hoped for decisions on greater financial market regulation, global alignment of accounting standards, and a bigger role for the International Monetary Fund. Instead, leaders from rich and developing nations agreed on broad themes to tackle the financial crisis, and to keep talking.

Capitalism does not need to be redefined, it needs to be fully embraced and allowed to function. Government intervention and trying to prevent small economic corrections that are politically poorly timed have resulted in a long term recession/depression just like has occurred in the past. Please governments of the world, stop helping, you are making the correction worse every time you try to help.

I fear for the future of America. America will no longer be an independent country, we will be subservient to a group of people who hate and envy America’s success over the last 30 years.

Bush is failing America and our historical way of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. He is paving a path which will allow for massive socialism by the democrats under the pretense we are just following Bush’s lead all the way to the total replacement of America as a free, capitalistic society.

Will the last free market capitalist in America please turn out the lights on increasing everyone’s wealth. There will no longer be any wealth created in the world, just spread around amongst more and more people until everyone is equally poor except for the elitist ruling class who know better than the feudal serfs.

Romney Column on the Bailout

November 20, 2008

Mitt Romney NY Times Editorial Column

Most of what he says makes logically sense which means it has no chance to ever be implemented in Washington DC. It is a shame that the GOP let the democrats and media pick the GOP candidate for president in 2008.

Without that bailout, Detroit will need to drastically restructure itself. With it, the automakers will stay the course — the suicidal course of declining market shares, insurmountable labor and retiree burdens, technology atrophy, product inferiority and never-ending job losses. Detroit needs a turnaround, not a check.

The only way the government should get involved with any private company. Romney’s ideas are some of the best I have read but I do not like auto bailout idea at all. (just like the $700 billion bank bailout was wrong and recent events prove it was wrong)
