1st 100 Days & the future failure of America

April 27, 2009

I thought after the 1st 50 days that things could only get better, lots of new people making new people mistakes, these people really have pride in America just not reacting to well to the new power and environment.

It has just gotten worse except for the distraction game, the Obama administration has gotten very, very good at distraction while the real agenda of the government take over of a majority of American business marches forward.

Some of the highlights/lowlights
1) The American Apology tour through Europe. I thought only look at how important I am, self-indulgent Hollywood types (Penn, Glover, Bellafonte) and ex-presidents (Carter) went around the world saying America is evil. Now the sitting president is apologizing to the world because American Capitalism over the last century and a half has brought an improved standard of living to a large segment of the world population.

2) Cut 100 million dollars from federal budget, same as a family making $45000 a year taking a $1.22 annual pay cut. I wonder what will be cut in the family budget to make up for the income loss, need to drink water instead of the bottle of soda at today’s lunch. savings achieved, no more cutting needed.

3) Media lapdog to the president – ignores hundreds of thousands of protesters who think that government is overstepping its bounds and government intervention into private society needs to be curtailed.

4) Continue to ignore friends and prop up enemies. (Iran, Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea) And listen to them speak while they rant about how evil America is.

5) Politicize the security of America by releasing CIA memos

All of these are a distraction as they push through a universal health insurance and energy cap and trade plan.

Universal health care will result in limiting access, it is the only way to decrease costs is to limit access. See Charles Krauthammer collumn. The government has convinced a majority of the people that the America Health Care industry is broken and can only be “fixed” by the federal government.

The federal government is going to do the same thing with the energy industry under Cap & Trade. Cap & Trade will result in significant 300 to 400% increases in energy prices which will raise the prices for each American household about $3900 dollars more a year. This will result in American’s becoming enraged against energy companies and utilities giving the government the support to price cap and nationalize the energy industry. This will result in less energy for everyone to use.

It is called hidden taxes on business which gives those in power the ability to create a crisis and then solve the crisis by taking more power.

America is on a road to rapid failure and lower standards of living for the good of everyone.

POWER CORRUPTS, ABSOLUTE POWER CORRUPT ABSOLUTELY!!!!!!!!!!

Why is Obama Changing who runs the 2010 Census?

February 10, 2009

It seems strange that Obama is putting a White House political operative who is not required by law to report to congress or make public the method that the census will use to count people public record.

I wonder how many democratic congress people will demand that Obama’s political appointees make the trip to capital hill to testify before congress under a congressional subpoena like they did for the Bush political appointees or will the Obama administration claim executive privilege just like Bush did and was widely criticized for this.

White House grabs 2010 census power

Time for wait and see but the potential for conflicts of interest, falsifying records and corruption due to a lack of openness is far to possible.

Politics as usual.

Jeb Bush in 2010 for Florida senate

December 3, 2008

Politico article

In an interview with Politico immediately after November’s election, the former governor said the Republican Party should take four primary steps to regain favor with voters: Show no tolerance for corruption, practice what it preaches about limiting the scope of government (“There should not be such a thing as a Big Government Republican”), stand for working families and small business, and embrace reform.

Bush said conservatives should “do the math of the new demographics of the United States,” explaining that the Republican Party “can’t be anti-Hispanic, anti-young person — anti many things — and be surprised when we don’t win elections.”

Maybe he should have talked to his brother the last 8 years about being a Big Government Republican.

He has a big hurdle to overcome as a Bush and big government, Both his Dad and Brother fooled Conservatives. Does he think we will be fooled again.

Repeat after me, “I will not vote for a Bush again, I will not vote for a Bush again”

Continuation of 2nd contract with America

November 22, 2008

As a continuation of my thoughts on How Conservatives should change the Republican Party

A 6th plank in the new Contract with America

No entity can contribute to a political candidate for a general election which cannot vote for said candidate.

This means that only individual contributors can donate money to political candidate.
No business $, no Lobbyist $, no Union Dues $, No out of district contributions.

For the general election of a president only 20% of contributions may be spent outside of the state in which the contribution was collected on national advertising. 20% of the money collected in NY can be spent on a nationwide commercial purchase, no regional advertising with this 20% of the money.

Political parties are only allowed to spend money in the district the money was collected.
No collecting money in California for a Maine congressional candidate, no collecting money in Texas for a New York candidate.

This would make the congress members more responsible to their constituent since they can’t rely on people other than their voters for campaign contributions and it would make all states important in presidential elections since every state would need to have money collected to advertise in that state.

What should Congressional Republicans do for the next 2 years

November 14, 2008

1) Admit Democrats won the elections, elections have consequences. The Democrats have the majority in both houses and can do what ever they please as a legislative agenda.

2) Do not support anything which is against conservative principals and values. (low tax, small government, free market, liberty for the people)

3) Do not block any legislation action but no republican vote for it either. Do not give the democrats any cover that the legislation was bi-partisan. As stated in #1, elections have consequences, the American people spoke and said let the democrats have a chance. Make the democrats take the lead, propose and vote on bills, make them pass laws. The democrats are responsible for everything now, if things go well cheer that America is succeeding, be happy the country is doing good. If it does not go well, every discussion should start with, I wish we could have some influence but we do not have any power, we are locked out of discussions and our suggestions are not being heard. Do not actively obstruct, do not point fingers, do not say I told you so, but do not support anything.

4) Put forth the 2nd contract with America I have outlined http://suemdonk.wordpress.com/2008/11/12/how-conservatives-should-change-the-republican-party/. Tell voters, if you do not like how things are going this is the list of changes we will do if you vote for us in 2010, 2012.

5) In the senate on Judicial appointees, any judge which has every legislated from the bench should be filibustered to prevent a vote. Talk about why is there is a need for judges who legislate from bench when the democrats are in total control of the federal government. Publicly pronounce the decisions the judge made which resulted in the rightfully passed laws of the legislature (or the people in a voter referendum) to be over turned. Change the discussion to, why can’t the legislature pass the laws which is how it is defined in the constitution and have the judges decide if people are in violation of the law. Make the discussion about how judges making laws in against the principals of America and that the elected officials need to pass laws not lifetime appointed judges. Ask every judicial appointment about Kelo_v._City_of_New_London and why is it OK for the government to take someone property that they have lived in their entire life to allow some developer that has promised to build something in the future. Ask what is the limit of eminent domain use by government? How/when can it be used? Why is it OK for the government to take what someone has worked for their entire life for a promise which may never happen, which is exactly the result of the Kelo case?
Make the after hearings announcement start with we would vote for the person but the views on topic XYZ which will give the government more people and the people less Freedom do not sit well with the traditions of America and what the founding father meant when the constitution was written.
