Gregg to Stay in Senate

Maybe Sen. Gregg has some integrity and does not want to be a hypocrite.

Gregg withdraws as commerce secretary nominee

Gregg gave Obama credit for reaching out to him. But, he cited “irresolvable conflicts” with Obama’s handling of the economic stimulus and 2010 census.

He is being a gentlemen in not trying to tear down Obama.

To bad the white house could not show the same class

The White House quickly issued a statement saying that Gregg was the one who originally offered his name for the job. Once it became clear he could not support all of the president’s agenda, “it became necessary for Senator Gregg and the Obama administration to part ways,” said presidential press secretary Robert Gibbs.

Senator Gregg meet the partisan bus that just ran you over.

Stimulus Real Cost – The lying, cheating, theft act

True Cost of Stimulus: $3.27 Trillion

Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) asked the Congressional Budget Office to estimate the impact of permanently extending the 20 most popular provisions of the stimulus bill. What did the CBO find? As you can see from the table below, the true 10 year cost of the stimulus bill $2.527 trillion in in spending with another $744 billion cost in debt servicing. Total bill for the Generational Theft Act: $3.27 trillion.

A 30+% increase in the national debt in just under 30 days and a flat to declining GDP for the next decade.

CBO estimates that by 2019 the Senate legislation would reduce GDP by 0.1 percent to 0.3 percent on net.

I certainly hope America has hope because that is all that there will be left in a year or two.
Flat GDP means constantly rising unemployment. No GDP growth means no net new jobs.
